Not all those who wander are lost, but I certainly am!
Old Pompeii: the city covered in ash by Vesuvius. This is the closest I believe I will ever come to time travel, and it’s well worth the visit to be able to see how ones’ ancestors lived.
The pandemic is hitting harder than ever. In Northern Ontario where I live the sun is barely coming out, and those of you who live in the the darker places of the world know what that means; a serious case of the winter blues. It’s not the healthiest habit in the world, but when I’m down and out I do enjoy a bit of comfort food from my favourite restaurants.
This destination is for all the people who binged Bridgerton over the holidays. Construction started in 1781 but the palace came into its full glory around the 1820s as a seaside getaway for King George and Queen Charlotte. Guys I want to take a trip so badly. The pandemic is getting to me. It took a year but it’s really, really getting to me. It’s to the point where my friends and I have planned not one, but at least five post Covid trips, and are looking into planning more. We won’t take them all at once, of course, but Lord knows that once it’s safe to go country hopping again we’ll end up in at least one of these places!
This week has been stressful, I know. There’s a lot going on, there’s a lot of uncertainty, and it’s not fabulous. That’s why this week I figured I’d give you something a bit more idyllic, gentle readers.
