Not totally aware of what I was doing, or where I was going, I made my way over to where I thought a hotel might be. With the exception of roughly an hour nap I had been awake for almost 24 hours at that point. I don’t know how nurses do it.

After several hours of delays the flights were then cancelled, and the airlines were plunged into the Herculean task of having to deal with all of those angry customers. Eventually we were told the plan: Birmingham.
