Not all those who wander are lost, but I certainly am!
We’ve all had it happen I’m sure; your friend has just come home from a far flung destination and is ready to tell you all about their fabulous adventure. Of course they have to omit some details but for the most part they’re honest about their experience. Their trip was wonderful and they’re so happy they went! Fabulous. But I’m here to un-omit those details.
One of the most iconic thing about Venice, among all of its iconic features, is the Piazza San Marco. St. Marco’s Square for those of us who speak English. If you’ve seen photos of winged lions, beautiful clock towers, the Palace of the Doge, and gondolas tied to posts, then you’ve likely seen parts of the Piazza San Marco within those photos.
Many people told me that I would suffer the day after and to be prepared for that; I’m happy to report that the worst side effect I expereinced is muscle ache and tenderness at the site of injection, a touch of joint pain, and feeling a bit sluggish the morning after. Other than that I’m feeling great, happy to be vaccinated, and excited to be one step closer to international travel!

I’m definitely a city girl. Despite having lived in smaller towns most of my life, I love the energy and sleeplessness that big cities provide. I’ve been to a fair few such cities in my life, but these are my top five.
I try to pack as lightly as I possibly can, but other than my wallet and hand sanitizer these items are what I consider super essential for me when I travel. Don’t get me wrong, I can deal without them, but life is better and easier with them around. Let’s get right into it!
